Thanks again to Aaron Williams of Williams Landscaping who provided a great talk about Safety in the woods, Plants to watch out for, and Things to collect for our Fairy Houses.

This month will have a very special guest to who will teach us a very special FAIRY movements and dance. We will be learning our FAIR CHANT as part of our journaling. Our craft this time will help us “STAKE OUR CLAIM” as we prepare to build our Fairy Houses in the very near future.

“Gathering Baskets” if you were unable to attend last month, or new this month please bring a basket to decorate. This will be used as your gathering basket to put materials in to build your fairy house.

Fairy & Friend club members were joined by Aaron Williams of Williams Landscaping who provided tips on gathering materials for building Fairy Houses.  Aaron reminded members to always have an adult with them when in the woods; Stay away from Poison Ivy and shared a short rhyme to remember “Leaves of Three; Let it Be”; be mindful of briars as well. The members walked along with Aaron and found different materials to begin gathering for their fairy house, and to their surprise a fairy house was at the end of their walk….Thank You Aaron for your support of iDance and the Friends & Fairies Club.  Check out the short clip of our visit with Aaron Williams

The fairies were out last weekend at Tinkerbell and her woodland  fairy friends at the Library Theatre. Over 350 parents and fairies joined us for great fun and two shows! See you iDance studios on Saturday March 12, 2011 1pm

Through our storytime for the Arts program, The Institute for Dance is pleased to announce the formation and inaugural meeting of the Fairies and Friends club! Let your child explore the outdoors, expand his/her imagination through character play, stretch and move to original fairy choreography, and discover books and fairytales such as the award winning Fairy Houses series by Tracy Kane.
